Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
Gradeable ("Gradeable", "we", "us", or "our") is an individually operated student academic application operated by David Monda in Victoria, Australia.
Gradeable is designed as a local-first application for managing academic information, including grades, subjects, assessments, tasks, study planning and related academic information.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Gradeable handles, how it is used, where it is stored, and the circumstances in which information may be processed by third-party services.
Contact: gradeable12@gmail.com
Website: http://gradeable.netlify.app/
2. Gradeable's Local-First Design
Gradeable is designed so that your academic information is stored locally on your device.
Gradeable does not operate a cloud database for your academic information and does not provide account-based cloud synchronization.
You do not need to create a Gradeable account to use Gradeable's features.
Your academic information is not automatically uploaded to a Gradeable-operated server.
This means that information such as your subjects, marks, tasks, exams and study information remains on your device unless you voluntarily export, share or otherwise transfer it.
Information processed only on your device is not considered "collected" under Apple's App Privacy definition.
3. Information Stored Locally
Depending on which features you use, Gradeable may store locally on your device:
- Your name
- Subjects
- Marks and grades
- Assessments
- Exams
- Homework and tasks
- Study plans
- Goals
- Scenarios and calculations
- Pomodoro/study-session information
- Notification-related information
- App settings and preferences
- Grading-system settings
- Target-grade settings
- Theme preferences
- Reminder settings
- Widget preferences
- School-position settings
- Custom grade-scale settings
- Day-streak information
- Other academic information that you voluntarily enter into the App
This information is stored locally and is not transmitted to Gradeable's servers.
4. Your Name
Gradeable asks you to provide your name when you first use the App.
Your name is used for the functionality and personalization of the App.
Your name is stored locally on your device.
Gradeable does not send your name to a Gradeable-operated cloud database.
Gradeable does not use your name for advertising or targeted advertising.
5. Email Addresses
Gradeable does not require an email address to create or use a Gradeable account because Gradeable does not require or provide a Gradeable account system.
Gradeable does not collect an email address for academic-data synchronization, cloud backup, login or account recovery.
If you voluntarily contact Gradeable by email, Gradeable will receive your email address and the contents of your message. This information is used to respond to your request or provide support.
6. Export and Import
Gradeable provides functionality allowing you to export your Gradeable data into a backup file and later import that backup.
Backups may contain your Gradeable academic information and selected App settings.
Backup files do not contain Gradeable subscription entitlements or Pro/unlock information.
Gradeable does not automatically upload exported backup files to a Gradeable server.
If you choose to save, share or transfer a backup using another service, including Apple's Files or iCloud services, email, messaging services or another third-party service, that service may process the information contained in the backup under its own privacy policy.
You are responsible for protecting backup files that you choose to export or share.
7. Local Notifications
Gradeable may use Apple's local notification functionality to provide reminders relating to:
- tasks;
- studying;
- exams; and
- other academic reminders.
These notifications are scheduled locally on your device.
Gradeable does not use a remote push-notification server to send these reminders.
Gradeable does not request or store a remote push-notification token for these local reminders.
Notification permissions are controlled through iOS.
8. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
Gradeable offers optional subscriptions and in-app purchases through Apple's App Store.
Gradeable uses RevenueCat to manage subscription and purchase-related functionality, including purchase validation, subscription status and entitlements.
When RevenueCat is used, RevenueCat processes purchase information associated with the App.
RevenueCat states that its required App Store privacy disclosure is Purchase History. RevenueCat also states that it may process end-user transaction information such as an Apple receipt and technical information such as device type and operating system.
Gradeable's RevenueCat implementation does not intentionally provide RevenueCat with your Gradeable academic information, including:
- subjects;
- marks;
- tasks;
- exams;
- study plans; or
- other academic information stored by Gradeable.
Anonymous RevenueCat identifier
Gradeable does not provide RevenueCat with a Gradeable account ID because Gradeable does not use an account system.
RevenueCat may use an anonymous App User ID to associate purchases and entitlements with the installation/user for purchase-management purposes.
RevenueCat explains that when an anonymous App User ID is used and the developer has no method of identifying the individual, the Purchase History can be treated as not linked to the user's identity for Apple's App Privacy questionnaire.
Gradeable does not intentionally use RevenueCat purchase information to identify you by your real-world identity.
Payment information
Payments made through Apple's App Store are processed through Apple's payment infrastructure.
Gradeable does not receive or store your payment-card number, bank-account number or similar payment credentials used to make an App Store purchase.
Apple and RevenueCat may process information under their own privacy policies and terms.
Apple specifically states that payment information entered through an external payment service is not considered collected by the app when the developer never has access to that payment information.
9. Third-Party Services
Gradeable currently uses the following third-party services relevant to user information.
Apple
Apple provides:
- App Store distribution;
- App Store purchases;
- subscription processing; and
- Apple's StoreKit infrastructure.
Apple may process information associated with App Store purchases and subscriptions according to Apple's own privacy practices.

RevenueCat provides Gradeable's subscription and purchase-management infrastructure.
RevenueCat may process:
- purchase history;
- transaction information;
- an anonymous App User ID;
- technical information such as device type and operating system; and
- other optional attribution or metadata if enabled through the RevenueCat configuration.
RevenueCat's current documentation identifies Purchase History as required for apps using RevenueCat and explains when additional identifiers may need to be disclosed.
Gradeable does not intentionally provide RevenueCat with academic information stored locally by Gradeable.

Information may nevertheless be processed by third-party services when required for functionality you use, including:
- Apple, for App Store and purchase functionality; and

Information processed by Apple or RevenueCat is subject to the security practices of those providers.
No electronic storage system or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

- camera or photo library;
- microphone; or
- health information.
Academic information entered into Gradeable is primarily stored locally on the user's device.
Purchases and subscriptions are processed through Apple and RevenueCat, which have their own privacy practices.
Parents or guardians who have questions about information handled by Gradeable, believe that a child has provided information directly to Gradeable, or wish to make a privacy request may contact:
We will consider and respond to requests concerning children's information in accordance with applicable law.

- request deletion;
- ask how information is collected, used or disclosed;

Because Gradeable stores most academic information locally, Gradeable does not have access to academic information that exists only on your device.
Information processed by Apple or RevenueCat may need to be addressed directly with those providers where appropriate.
